The National Health Service has chosen us as its partner for more than 40 projects – why?
The NHS chooses us because we do as we promise. We help it and its local authority partners deliver modern, integrated health and social care services by providing high-quality, affordable, community-based facilities.
Today, Clinical Commissioning Groups and NHS England can see our promise in effective and efficient health care services for their patients. We use our expertise and experience to ensure the very best use of existing buildings and land, and that new buildings actively promote good services for local people. We work with our NHS partners to help them shift services out of hospitals and into primary and community health care settings.
Fulcrum is the private sector partner in a number of Public Private Partnership (PPP) businesses. We are experts in establishing and developing long term partnerships with the NHS and local authorities across the UK. Our current partnerships are:
- West London Health Partnership
- South London Health Partnership
- Renova Developments (Knowsley, Warrington Halton & St Helens)
- South West London Health Partnership
- Bristol Infracare
- Oxford Infracare
- Hub South East Scotland
Most of these businesses are part of the NHS LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust) initiative. LIFT draws local NHS organisations and the Department of Health together with a private sector partner to develop primary and community health care facilities. The new facilities are managed by a public-private partnership, or LIFT company.
Since the LIFT programme began in 2005, we have developed and now manage more than 40 buildings with a capital value of over £460m. They are home to a wide range of primary and community health services as well as social care, leisure and third sector services.
Fulcrum Group is owned by Meridiam – a leading long-term investor specialising in public infrastructure.
