Akerman Road: Financial Close Achieved
After facing many challenges, the Building Better Health team brought this ambitious project to financial close in November 2010. A tightly constrained site, local planning issues, PCT budget restrictions and the increased financial costs resulting from the credit crunch all tested the mettle of the team over the course of the project development, which began in 2006. The scheme is the result of the team’s determination to produce a civic landmark that provides Lambeth PCT and local people with a facility that delivers high quality healthcare in exceptional surroundings. We look forward to seeing their vision brought to life as construction begins this year.
