Symbiotic surveys: Energy and occupancy
One of our current challenges is working with PCT ‘s, GP’s and other clinicians to deliver more services from the existing estate and working these buildings harder. However opening buildings longer and increasing patient numbers has an impact on energy use, for lighting, equipment and heating. Our challenge is therefore to ensure that these additional costs are well managed, ensuring lights, equipment and heating are only on when needed, and rooms used when booked.
By measuring energy use and occupancy simultaneously, waste can be easily spotted and rectified.
